The O’Brien’s team pride themselves on how they can adapt, combine and apply their design and construction skills to any landscape scheme, which presents challenges and demands only the best. We recently completed a private garden in South County Dublin, which had begun as a patio reconfiguration but extended to include the full re-design and construction of both the front and rear garden spaces.

The proposal, which was prepared in-house by designer, Barry Lupton sought to provide the clients with a series of boutique hotel quality spaces. The proposal also centred on achieving coherence between the various existing garden and house structure. The final proposal included a sunken porcelain patio space with fire table, raised sunbathing space, discreet retreat area, accent planting and an external cedar clad storage area. The garden also included a full lighting system, irrigation and a new nida gravel and granite drive layout to the front.

Project manager, Gatis Clems managed the installation from inception to sign off. While the garden construction presented a variety of challenges, the end product was world-class and an example of what can be created when excellent design and construction knowledge are combined.
